Carpe Diem hotel in Nungwi provided a comfortable stay with warm water for showers and a clean room. The database mentioned the issue with the shower, but during my stay, the water temperature was just right, making it easy to wash off the sand after a day at the beach. The room was tidy and had all the necessary amenities for a relaxing stay.
One minor inconvenience was the lack of a larger mirror for grooming. While there was a small round mirror over the sink, it was installed too high for a person of average height to see their face properly.

Favourable and perfect position, we enjoyed staying here.
We had a good stay and recommend it to all. That was nice hotel set in really quiet area, near to the activities or things and best beaches.

Nice hotel, the staff were all fairly friendly and welcoming and the location was absolutely perfect near the zoo. Really enjoyed a dining area and a private entrance in the room. The food was good, included coffee and tea. Location: the property was short walk to bars and restaurants and the best beaches in Nungwi and the Carpe Diem Nungwi.

Stayed at a place near the beach, where I explored Nungwi's natural beauty. The hotel offered free bikes and a delicious breakfast. The staff even helped with car hire. Perfect for a cycling adventure, right?
Who needs direct beach access when you can use bikes and walk miles to get there? So convenient.

Our stay at Carpe Diem was absolutely worth every penny. The value for money was excellent, especially considering the spacious and clean rooms. The location was great, just a short distance from the beach and nearby restaurants. The staff, especially Mr. Haluk, treated us like family and went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
Food for breakfast could have been better with more variety.

I keep coming back to this amazing place because of the helpful staff. They once found my lost wallet. It suits me perfectly with Wi-Fi, 24-hour security, outdoor dining, and more. I'm excited to return for Christmas!

the hosts were the best we could have asked for - welcoming, friendly, and extremely helpful. Luca, our personal tour guide, provided us with great recommendations for things to do and where to find the best places. the breakfast provided was delicious and the seafood platter, especially the octopus, was the best I've ever had in Tanzania. the hosts also went above and beyond to take care of us, even making a special soup when we weren't feeling well. the place itself is cozy and the rooms are spacious, with a laundry service available. We also got to befriend some adorable animals, including kittens, chickens, and a duck. our stay felt like home and we made some new friends. Highly recommend!
Nothing to dislike! 👍

had an amazing stay, exceeded expectations. Vegan-friendly food, friendly staff, tried to help me while I was unwell. Loved the baby chick and cats. Would come back again.
Furniture sinked in the middle.

I recently stayed at Carpe Diem in Nungwi for 4 nights and it was an amazing experience. Haluk and Fred were the best hosts ever, making me feel right at home. The peaceful and quiet atmosphere ensured a great sleep in the comfortable bed. The location was perfect, just a 4-minute walk to the beach. The value for money was excellent and the breakfast provided was the best I had in all of Tanzania. They even catered wonderfully to my vegan diet. The pergola in the patio was a great place to meet other guests and unwind. The WiFi signal was strong and the vibes were great. I highly recommend this place!
100% Recommend this hotel.

As longer term business travelers, we loved the breakfast being served at any time of the day. The staff fulfilled all our wishes for day trips and adventures, and we had great conversations with them. The dinner options were marvelous and the hospitality of Halouk and Nana was exceptional. The staff was super friendly and the Wi-Fi was great. We also appreciated the availability of bikes for our use. The property provided a peaceful and quiet environment at night, away from the center of the action.
Felt like royalty, no complaints at all.

Bikes, breakfast and beer! Lovely owner who showed us around and recommended the best bars. Great chats about Zanzibar and stuff. Fun times, thank you!
Oh, those damp rooms and cold showers were simply divine. And who needs a pool anyway?

The owner gave a beach excursion and recommended bars. Spacious rooms and African feel. Friendly owner and staff. Close to a nice cafe and pier for photos.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
